River Cottage
River Cottage yes the one from the SBS Food TV show! You can now stay there, it’s listed on Airbnb.
Prepare to be amazed, it’s even better in the flesh. You are surrounded by 360 degree elevated views of the rolling green hills of Central Tilba. The homestead has boutique country style furnishings with a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is to die for, and everything we cooked tasted so amazing for some strange reason! I think from the fresh garden herbs and beautiful old kitchen appliances and oven.
We adore this location and cannot wait to visit again. It’s well worth the trip down to support the locals in Cobargo who were recently affected by the catastrophic fires, Tilba thankfully remained untouched. This is what the owner of River Cottage had to say about our photos:

Simpson Cottage
Simpson Cottage is such a spectacular place to stay. This was our first visit of what I hope to be many! The cottage was built in the 1860s as the original home of the Simpson family, one of the first settlers south of the Hacking River. Sensitively restored, this 3-bedroom cottage provides a unique experience, where you can enjoy the charm of the old cottage and stylish contemporary living with mesmerising ever changing views of the water and National Park views.
It’s a perfect house for two small families, couples, a group of friends or mid-week away days for small businesses. With a private track to the beach it’s the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
Aruna Estate
Aruna Estate is a new and exclusive getaway in the southern highlands, offering down time amongst nature. Luxury eco villas and intimate off-grid cabins provide the perfect escape, just 90 minutes from Sydney.

We have fallen in love with this property as the perfect place to unwind with our toddler. We love the area because of its natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle and find the property is perfectly poised for us to easily access the beautiful beaches at Seal Rocks, Blueys Beach, Boomerang and Elizabeth as well as Myall, Smiths and Wallis Lake. Corunna Station
Corunna Station is a great country escape for groups of friends or family in the heart of the beautiful Hunter Valley. Set on 100 acres of private rural property, Corunna Station was the largest sheep shearing station in the Hunter established in 1880. The property retains all the original agricultural buildings including the Shearing Shed, Hay Shed, and Wood Mill.
